What the free redo is

If your delivered photo file fails the selected destination's published specification, you can use the free redo to submit one replacement photo for your order. It uses the same processing and checks as the original order.

The redo is not a refund, and it is not a new purchase. It is one extra chance to fix the photo file, at no cost.

The redo link is in the claim confirmation email we send after you submit a claim. (See our article on how the guarantee works for how to make a claim.)

If you chose "fix my photo" when you submitted your claim, the confirmation email includes your one-time redo link.

How it works

  1. Open the redo link from your claim email. The link is valid for 3 days.
  2. Choose a new photo from your device, or take one with your camera.
  3. Read and tick the two confirmations.
  4. Wait while we process it. You will see the steps and a timer as the photo is uploaded, checked and prepared. This usually takes under a minute.
  5. When it is ready, you can download your fixed photo right away, and we send you a new delivery email with the download links.

The two confirmations

The redo page asks you to tick two boxes before it processes your new photo:

  • Your photo consent - that you consent to us processing the photo, as described in the Biometric notice.
  • Your redo confirmation - that this is your one free redo for the order, that the guarantee covers formatting defects of the photo file only (not mistakes in the visa application form), and that if the official portal still rejects the fixed photo you can request a refund under the Refund policy.

Both boxes must be ticked before processing starts.

The processing steps

Once you confirm, the page shows the progress as a short sequence of steps with a timer. You will see it move through upload, checking and preparation, and finish with a "Your fixed photo is ready" message. From there you can download the fixed photo, and a new delivery email arrives with the download links.

What to do if processing fails

If processing fails, you can try again. An unsuccessful attempt does not use up your redo. The redo is only used up once a replacement photo is successfully processed and delivered.

If you keep getting an error, check your connection and try a different photo. If it still fails, contact us at contact@norshadynamics.com and quote your order or claim number.

The rules

  • One free redo per order.
  • We may decline a redo if the replacement photo does not show the applicant or cannot be processed. Declined or unsuccessful attempts do not use up your redo.
  • Using the redo does not affect your right to a refund. If the official portal still rejects the redone photo file because of a formatting defect, you can still request a refund under the Refund policy.
  • Replacement photos are processed and stored as described in our Privacy Policy and Biometric notice.

How the redo and a refund relate

Here is how the two fit together:

A photo-taking checklist by problem

  • Lighting - use natural light from a window, facing the light, with no shadows on your face.
  • Background - stand in front of a plain, light wall with nothing behind you.
  • Distance - hold your phone about 40 cm from your face, roughly an arm's length.
  • Glasses - take the photo without glasses if you can. If you must wear them, make sure there is no glare and the frames do not cover your eyes.
  • Headwear - avoid hats and non-religious head coverings. Religious coverings are generally allowed if your full face is visible from chin to forehead with no shadows on the face.
  • Expression - keep a neutral expression with your mouth closed and both eyes open.

Take the photo recently. Within the last 3 months is the safest choice.

The redo link is valid for 3 days. If it has expired, contact us at contact@norshadynamics.com and quote your order or claim number. We will send you a fresh link as long as your redo is still unused.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to pay again?

No. The redo is free.

How many times can I redo?

One free redo per order. If processing fails, you can try again, and unsuccessful attempts do not use up your redo.

Contact us at contact@norshadynamics.com and quote your order or claim number.

Is a redo the same as a refund?

No. You can use the redo and still request a refund if the portal rejects the new photo for a formatting defect.

Do I have to submit a new claim to use the redo?

You use the redo link from your claim confirmation email. You do not submit a second claim.

Can I change destination with the redo?

No. The redo is for the same order and destination. If you selected the wrong visa type, that is outside the guarantee.

Will the redo photo be checked?

Yes. The replacement photo goes through the same processing and checks as the original order.

Where can I read about the guarantee?

See the Refund policy and our article on how the guarantee works.

Final acceptance always rests with the issuing authority. See the Refund policy and Privacy Policy for the full terms.
